When timeless sophistication meets the comfort & movement of athletic performance, you get The Art of Leisure. We’ve basically taken the concept of ‘athleisure’ and refined it till it became so much more.
With great styles, comes great responsibility. Knitwear requires some love & care to ensure they last as long as they’ve got the potential to. Here’s some basic questions and suggestions to make your Art of Leisure garment last.
They’ll wear and fit the same as our other Andamen products. They also come in both fits, slim and regular.
Slim fit is slimmer on the chest, belly, and arms. For bottom wear, it is a slim fit around the waist and hips. It’s slightly more taper, designed to look sharp and not skinny. It’s meant for a typical Indian body, from athletic to slightly bulky. Regular fits are designed for bulkier bodies with more room around the waist and hips specifically, feeling a lot more relaxed.
Every product and every fabric is chosen with a very specific design philosophy of feeling soft, plush, luscious, and comfortable, while having the depth and luster one would seek in an elevated product.
Art of Leisure garments will have a less structured drape. Our vision behind the Art of leisure is to blend the elevation of sophisticated timeless garments with the ease, comfort, and movement of athletic and performance garments.
All knitwear, by design, will expand as you wear them. Cotton knitwear characteristically expands a little less and viscose knitwear expands more as viscose is a material whose natural property is to have more expansion. We factor these inherent characteristics into the technical specifications with which the fabrics are knit to ensure that the overall experience is consistent across all products and fibres, while still playing with multiple fibres like cotton, viscose, and various blends to enjoy their unique beautiful characteristics.
Every Andaman product is pre-shrunk and tested to rigorous international testing and standards. The product goes through 2 stages of testing with 3 inspection points.
Therefore, when you first wear the product, it will feel tighter & more snug and will open up over 30-60 mins of wearing as it takes the shape of your body. We recommend that you wash and iron your product after each day’s wear even for the bottom wear, pullover, and sweatshirts so that they come back to their original shape, size and compactness. It is natural to feel like the product is looser and longer if worn multiple times without washing. This is not a defect but a natural characteristic of the product and it’ll come back to size after washing. Since everything is pre-shrunk you can rest assured that nothing will shrink or expand beyond an internationally established level of +-5%.
Our Art of Leisure collection is designed to be paired with each other. We’ve designed to every aspect of the collection from silhouettes, colours to the fabric, keeping your needs in mind. Whether you choose to layer or not, choose your top-wear from our range of sweatshirts, hoodies, pullovers, polos & crewnecks. Pair them with any of the bottom-wear from the collection to complete your look.
Given that knitwear drapes snugly on the body, if you have a larger belly or chest, go for the regular fit. Our fits are designed around an average Indian body-type and not a model, to make the regular guy feel comfortable & not conscious while making him look sharp & elevated. Make sure you let your garment open up after 30-60 mins of wearing it and you will experience that it does not hug your body very close. You’ll look elevated & dressed up while feeling comfortable in your skin. If it still makes you feel conscious, you can always layer it up.
