Behind every great garment, is a carefully chosen material.
Every piece of clothing we design has its own story. And the raw materials we choose, are the words that narrate it. We take our materials quite seriously and sweat over every little detail—where it’s made, how it’s made, who makes it—so we know the final product is good for you as well as our planet.
EXPLORE MATERIALS
Meet Earth’s friendliest linen.
Grown on the coastal band of Western Europe, this natural fibre is fully compostable, requires zero manual irrigation and comes from a no-waste plant. The oceanic climate and the mineral-rich soil also go a long way in making this one of the best quality linens in the world.
The fibres have a longer staple length compared to their non-Euro counterparts, which results in a yarn that’s not only more durable but also finer, resulting in a softer, more breathable linen.

Andamen ♥ Woolmark
Immerse in the pinnacle of fabric experience with the blend of the finest cashmere and merino wool, certified by Woolmark, the global authority on wool. Woolmark assures that our products, meticulously crafted from 100% pure Merino wool, adhere to rigorous standards, ensuring exceptional quality, durability, and performance. Our merino wool, with a finer fibre diameter of 12-20 microns, is twice as soft as regular wool (25 microns). Despite being so rare (constituting just 1% of the world's fibre for apparel), it is an integral material of our Apex garments.
Our Cashmere, sourced from the plush undercoat of rare goats, offers superior softness with an 11-14 micron fibre diameter, creating an exclusive collection due to its natural shedding process occurring once a year.

If cotton was made from wood-pulp.
Viscose is a cellulose-based fibre made from regenerated wood pulp, with features very similar to cotton. It’s soft, comfortable, gorgeous to touch and built to last.
Most (if not all) of the wood needed to make this fabric comes from responsibly managed forests, meaning for every tree used, new ones are planted in its place. It truly is the gold standard of sustainable materials.

Making great materials, greater.
Choosing the right material is just step one. What we do with it is equally (in some cases, more) important. Each garment is designed with two key objectives—maximising its wear by making it durable, & enabling you to look and feel your best. We do this by learning everything there is to learn about each material and engineering them into high-performance fabrics that deliver an elevated dressing experience, every time.
The Lightest Fabric - Air Twill
Air Twill is the lightest fabric in our library. Originally called the Air Twill 95 capsule, it was crafted exclusively for evening wear.
WHEN WE MADE IT
2018
We wanted to create a lightweight, non-stuffy evening shirt that was also versatile. It should feel comfortable under an evening suit or as is. Formal and semi-formal shirts are notorious for being rigid, stuffy or ‘too structured’. We wanted to create something effortless, light and most importantly comfortable, all day long. All of this, with zero compromises on the overall look of the style.
HOW WE MADE IT
Reconstructed to a single precise 70€’™s count with a micro twill structure and a mechanical stretch, resulting in a fabric that is 20% finer and 25% lighter.
An Andamen Icon - Persona
Experience our most elevated line-up of polos & tees. Crafted from one of the world’s softest cotton, these signature styles are exceptionally soft, incredibly durable and have a drape that’s quite often mistaken for silk. Designed with serendipitous detailing, these styles are Andamen icons.
WHEN WE MADE IT
2019
We created Persona for the people who want to dress up without a shirt. This signature lineup is designed to effortlessly elevate your style for special (or regular) occasions while retaining all the comfort and cosiness of your favourite polo/crewneck.
HOW WE MADE IT
We gave a silk-like smoothness to our Indian cotton, paired with the right amount of drape, flow and stretch. We then dipped the fabric in bio enzymes and topped it with a silicon softener to get an ultra-fine, lustrous handle. Each persona also has unique serendipitous detailing on the cuff and collar for that added style elevation.
Fabric That Breathes - Pique
Pique is an open-knit structure used in our tees, shirts and polos. This unique structure also makes the fabric more durable, making it ideal for everyday comfort.
WHEN WE MADE IT
2019
We wanted to create breezy, summer-friendly styles that can easily be worn all day long.
HOW WE MADE IT
Made in an open-knit structure that is very porous, allowing air to flow easily resulting in efficient thermoregulation.
We’re on the journey of building better garments, hopefully, for a better future.
That means we’ve got a long way to go. We’ve got some incredible new materials to add to our arsenal & new fabrics that we can’t wait for you to wear. We’ll update this page when we reach those milestones or you can subscribe to be one of the first to know when that does happen.
